John C. Malone

John C. Malone was appointed to the board of directors of Charter on May 1, 2013 and became a Director Emeritus on July 24, 2018. Mr. Malone is the Chairman of the Board of Liberty Broadband Corporation, Liberty Global, plc, Liberty Media Corporation, Liberty Expedia Holdings, Inc. and GCI Liberty, Inc., the Chairman Emeritus of CableLabs, and is a board member of Liberty Latin America Ltd. and Discovery Communications, Inc. From 1996 to March, 1999 when Tele-Communications, Inc., (TCI) merged with AT&T Corp., he was also Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TCI. Previous to that, from 1973 to 1996, Mr. Malone served as President and Chief Executive Officer of TCI. Previously Mr. Malone served as a director since 1994 and as Chairman of the Board of Qurate Retail, Inc., which was formerly known as Liberty Interactive Corporation (including its predecessor) from 2004 to March 2018. He has also served on the board of directors of Expedia Group, Inc., Lions Gate Entertainment Corp., Liberty TripAdvisor Holdings, Inc. and Sirius XM Radio Inc.
