Subra Suresh

Dr. Subra Suresh has been on the Board of Directors for HP since 2015. He has also served on the boards of Growth Technology Advisory Board since 2020; the Singapore Exchange Limited since September 2018; and the New York Academy of Science. Dr. Suresh has been the President of Nanyang Technological University since January 2018. Prior to this he was the President of Carnegie Mellon University from July 2013 to June 2017 and the Director of the National Science Foundation from October 2010 to March 2013. He served as the Dean of the School of Engineering and Vannevar Bush Professor of Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2007 to 2010; the Head of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering from 2000 to 2006; and the R.P. Simmons Professor of Materials Science and Engineering from 1993 to 2000. He began his career at Brown University, serving as a Professor of Engineering from 1989 to 1993; Associate Professor of Engineering from 1986 to 1989; and Assistant Professor of Engineering from 1983 to 1986. He has previously served on the boards of Singapore’s Agency for Science, Technology and Research; the National Research Foundation; the Future Economy Council; MatchMove Pay; Science, Technology and Innovation Committee of Siemens AG, Germany; and the Battelle Memorial Institute.
