Wayne A.I. Frederick, MD

Wayne A.I. Federick joined the Board of Directors at Humana in 2020. Mr. Federick has served as the President of Howard University since 2014 and is set is step down in 2024. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Frederick served as Howard University’s Interim President in 2013 after serving as Provost and Chief Academic Officer for more than a year. Before his time at Howard, Mr. Frederick served as the Associate Director of the Cancer Center at the University of Connecticut and did his post-doctoral research and surgical oncology fellowships at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Mr. Frederick has served on the Board of Directors at Agostini Limited board since 2023, Workday, Inc. since 2022, Insulet Corporation since 2020, and Mutual of America Life Insurance Co. since 2015. Mr. Frederick has also been a member of the Board of Directors at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond since 2017 and is a Fellow at the American College of Surgeons.
