Biography:
Kathryn Ruemmler has served as the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel of Goldman Sachs since 2021 and joined the firm as a Partner in 2020. Before Goldman Sachs, Ms. Ruemmler served as a Litigation Partner at Latham & Watkins LLP from 2007 to 2009 and from 2014 to 2020. From 2011 to 2014, Ms. Ruemmler served as the White House Counsel to former President Barack Obama and served as the Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General at the Justice Department from 2009 to 2011 and Assistant United States Attorney in D.C. from 2001 to 2007 and Associate Counsel to former President Clinton from 2000 to 2001. Ms. Ruemmler is a Fellow at American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the Board of Trustees at German Marshall Fund.
